The Superior race
When that soft flesh with a vagina is born, she is looked upon with conventional looks of her mother and her family. The birth-giver looks at her with a serious expression on her face which slowly turns to a beautiful smile. The dynamic curve on her face is a realisation of her responsibility to raise a strong, confident and bold woman. She didn’t have the fate of her friend who had a newborn with a penis in her lap. Her friend knows that her fate has now relaxed all responsibilities upon her as she has to raise a creature who would be now trained by society and can survive the burden of his complacency.
The new baby girl’s mother would hold her in her soft comforting arms and lap and bring her home. She would pamper her every minute and pamper her with a feminine beautiful childhood. When the girl grows old, the mother would now want to ram into events from her past and fellow women which made the mother strong to withstand the unfair encounters from society. She would be there to comfort the girl in her tough times and ignite a ray of strength, boldness and courage to face the dark ruthless world.
Heart breaks by a few manly stupids and fools, the disparities of the job roles, gender fuelled increments at work place, space in her relationship, unvalued respect-less contributions to run her relationship and start a new family. All this was overwhelming to think about when the daughter just hit puberty and questioned the cramps which came embedded within the blood stains on the sanitary pad, the waxing rashes and the daughter’s admiration of the beautiful dresses and makeup in the market. Her responsibilities had now grown gravely serious.
This is where she has to differ from the other moms, who perhaps raised a daughter who would either give up in face of the atrocities of life and compromise for the little-boy man. It’s been 8 years since her teens went by. The daughter had now become a responsible, beautiful and independent woman. In her college days she was a self employed life coach to her fellow girlfriends to deal with bullying men and then later to ask for her rights of a good salary package because she excelled than all her fellow male colleagues. At the age of 26, she went ahead to take up a job abroad. Her mother never pressured her to marry in the society preferred age to marry. She always wanted her to break free to become a poet, author, painter and singer and even to excel much more than an average man.
Meanwhile, her friend, who is the same as her age, kind of liked her and wanted to marry her in future. He was a man-child, who was devoid of any responsibility of learning household chores and wasn’t even serious about making a good career. Life was a happy go lucky game for him and he could never bear the courage to fall on his knees and stand again. So he merely blamed his destiny for everything that happened with him: For him not getting a decent job, for him not being responsible enough for his physique and even not being able to get a good match. Both of them were good friends and she sort of always used to encourage him to take a good control and responsibility of his life. But, he always waited infinitely for good times and a woman who would set his destiny and merely did any efforts.
The girl meanwhile had been abroad for 2 years and planned on returning to India to now finally find a good match and tie knots with a man who could prove an equal caliber and deserved to marry her. She met a few men which her mother had shortlisted for her.
There were those who wanted to have a very intellectual wife without her pride and self respect for her dignitary and respectful charisma. Then, there were ones like her friend, who had to be petted, trained and tamed like a dog but did no effort to deserve her.
She could clearly see how wrongly Indian men were brought up and why she never dared to trust and fall for any of the men she met abroad. These men were craving to get married to be looked after just like their mother did in their adolescence leaving a huge baggage of married life responsibilities to be handled by their wives. They called themselves a superior race who just had the privilege to be born as a man and fail at everything a woman masters- emotional maturity, social maturity, personal responsibilities and even badly to understand their partner. Their way to make a way into a woman’s life is to either attract her by a mask of smartness and his good looks. They could not see through what attracts a woman-their inner personality, the unsaid and unfaked responsibilities and ownership a man should take to distribute her baggage of facing atrocities in life alone. The rarest breeds of such men existed, but then very few women could earn them. Rest of the women have been known to have 3 kinds of options: Smart men with unsettling ego, dumb men or stay single for life.
Did the universe intend to be this much unfair to women, or is the so-called ‘Supreme race’ was is such termed by society to feed the insecurities of men? They could and should have been brought up just like women, the independent, responsible and most important sensitive creation.
